This event is dedicated to the memory of Emmanuel Pabustan. He spread his joy and love for the game to the community of Chicago, despite struggling with homelessness. Blitz was one of his favorite controls. We wish he could join us for one last game.

Summary: Rated Blitz at the Chicago Chess Center

Location: 47 West Polk, Chicago, IL 60657

Section: Open

Format: 5 double-rounds (10 games) SS G/3, inc/2.

Schedule: Round 1 at 7:30 PM (or 15 minutes after the Weekend Swiss afternoon round.)

Registration: $20, $10 for CCC Members; Online or onsite 7:00 PM to 7:15 PM.

2000+ players play free!

Registration closes 15 minutes before the first round. Any players not registered before then will receive a round 1 bye.

Prize fund: $400 B/25 paid entries.

$200 - $125 - $75. 

All children who score higher than 50% will receive a medal!

Transportation: We are right next to the Harrison Red Line, Lasalle Blue Line, and Harold Washington Library Loop stop. Additionally, we are 1 mile from Union Station and 1.3 miles from Ogilvie.

Parking: Paid parking is available behind Dearborn Station, but there is also street parking, lots, and garages nearby.
