5-round Swiss System. Each player has 30 minutes for each game, plus an additional five-second delay per move.
OPEN TO PLAYERS UNDER 1200 OR UNRATED OF ANY AGE!
Entry fee: $22 by November 18, $35 onsite.
You do NOT need a US Chess rating to play in this event! You DO need to join US Chess (and you can join onsite). Free entry and & US Chess membership available to a limited number of City of Chicago scholastic players with financial need (honor system). Email for details.
Registration: Online or onsite 8 to 8:30 AM.

Prizes: First place (or all scoring at or above 4½ points): chess clock + book, 4 points: two books. All players who compete the event will receive a book!
